Biography

Jeffrey Domingues is an associate attorney at Burns and Hansen, focusing on real estate litigation, civil litigation, family law, and business law.

Jeffrey has significant experience in addressing landlord-tenant disputes, including rent escrow matters, evictions, illegal activity provisions, and local and state ordinance violations. In civil litigation, Jeffrey represents clients in cases involving breaches of contract, property disputes, building contractor issues, debt collection, and foreclosure defense.

Jeffrey approaches every case with a strategy tailored to the circumstances. Jeffrey willing and able to advocate for his clients, whether that means negotiating settlement or aggressively pursuing litigation. Jeffrey is empathetic to his clients' needs and goals, and brings that passion to his legal practice.

Prior to joining Burns and Hansen, Jeffrey served for two years as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Eric Hylden, where he learned the skills to analyze complex legal issues in cases involving civil litigation, family law, and real estate law. Jeffrey leverages the experience he received during his clerkship in his practice as an associate attorney.

Jeffrey earned his Bachelor's degree in History from Carleton College. He received his law degree from the University of Minnesota, where he was a certified student attorney in the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic. In law school, he represented affirmative asylum applicants during their asylum application process.

In his spare time, Jeffrey enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and Chester (his cat), staying abreast of current affairs - foreign and domestic, weightlifting, and his wildly diverse taste in music.
