Biography
Isabelle Hagel is an associate attorney in Burns and Hansen’s civil litigation department.
Before joining Burns and Hansen, Isabelle worked as a judicial law clerk for District Court Judge Cynthia McCollum in Dakota, Carver, and Scott County. During her time working in the district courts, Isabelle gained insight into the judicial decision-making process and learned that the most effective attorneys are those that manage to advocate zealously while remaining respectful to everyone involved in the legal process.
Isabelle understands that navigating the legal process can be a confusing and stressful experience for clients. Isabelle’s goal is to provide clients with clarity and confidence through an organized, efficient, and thoughtful approach to advocacy. Isabelle strives to make her clients feel heard and provide them with straightforward advice.
Isabelle received her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2023, where she focused on developing litigation skills and studying business-related areas of law. During law school, Isabelle competed as a member of the mock trial team and served on the Mitchell Hamline Law Review. Isabelle also served as a learning community student leader in the Office of Academic Excellence, helping first year law students learn difficult concepts in civil procedure and contracts.
Isabelle is a first-generation attorney raised in Minnesota. In her spare time, Isabelle enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching tennis and hockey, and spending time out on the lake.
