Murwah Murad

Biography

Murwah Murad is an associate attorney in Burns & Hansen’s family law and estate planning departments. Murwah listens with empathy to her client’s stories and assesses their needs and goals with care. She empowers her clients to make well-informed decisions by guiding them through the legal process every step of the way. Murwah is thoughtful and meticulous in her approach to every case, because she is passionate about helping families through what can be difficult and challenging stages of life.

Murwah’s clients benefit from her diverse legal background, which includes hands-on experience in estate planning, housing court, immigration law, and workers’ compensation. Through helping clients reach their goals, Murwah developed her skills as an advocate and honed her ability to assess cases from a variety of angles.

Murwah graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2024, where she concentrated her studies on estate planning and developing practical litigation skills. She also assisted faculty in their research on the Minnesota transportation system, interviewing and gathering information from leaders in government and politics to better understand how road infrastructure is developed in Minnesota.

Murwah is a first-generation attorney from an immigrant household. Murwah knew that she wanted to practice in the family law and estate planning sphere from a young age. In her spare time, Murwah enjoys reading, hiking and attending events in the Twin Cities. She has a running list of her favorite restaurants that she will share with anyone and everyone.
